Chester: Cold Blooded Killer of Mice

I was really pleased with the turn out of this little close up of Chester. Just another in the series of the many moods of Chester. More to come. Prints available.

The Vineyard on Siskiyou

Painted on location, this place is wonderful! It is less than a mile from my home and is extremely scenic. I was in heaven! The weather was perfect. It feels like fall is in the air already.

Somewhere in the Oak forest

The lupine are so abundant here! They add great color to a simple forest scene.

More Roses

Some beautful roses that grow at the resort. The gardners here are expert! They knowexactly what to plant and where! The result is truly artistic.

Trumpet Flower

I think that is what this flower is called? Anyway it is beautiful!
This was painted in a one hour demo for the students who came to my recent workshop.
Even though it was a "quick" one, I was very happy with the results! That dosn't happen very often.

Chester, the Inn cat lolls around outside the resort's doors. What a life! He's the luckiest cat I know.

Enter The Lithia Springs Resort

The painting was painted when the rose trellis and daises where in full bloom. A very inviting scene to the gardens of the resort. This painting , also part of the permanent collection of the resort, is available in print and greeting cards.

Chester the Crossed Eyed Cat

This is the resident and very spoiled cat of The Lithia Springs Resort.
I'm doing a series of him in various quirky poses. Watch for future posting. Prints and greeting cards will be available

The Koi Pond at Lithia Springs

This one is part of the Lithia Springs Resort collection of my paintings. Workshops are being offered as well by me to paint the lovely grounds of this resort.

New take on a portrait

Look familiar? I like her expression so much, I wanted to paint her again with a more contemporary feel. This is the technique I perfected when I was painting a lot of abstracts. I thought this would be a nice accompaniment to the classic grisaille portrait.

cigar box painting

This one is called"Juliet" The cigar box is a "Romeo & Juliet" cigar. I thought this would be right for Ashland. You know, the Shakespeare festival and all.

Cigar Box Painting

Painting on a cigar box available at Gallerie Karon, in Ashland Oregon

New Cigar Box paintings

Becky (my dog)

Becky is a Healer / Border Collie mix. She is the best of the best! This is her "I want the ball" look.
The original was a 20" x 28" oil painting, and someone bought it from my representing gallery. I still can't figure why someone would want a painting of my dog? Anyway, prints are available and people have ordered them (maybe they are cattle dog lovers).

Half Dome

Half Dome in May, still quite a bit of snow. My daughter (then 12 years old) captured this photo that was so perfect to use as a painting reference. Her photos from that trip were better than most of mine. She has talent!
Giclee prints are available of this image.

Fair Oaks Bridge & Bluffs

This painting was painted for a fund raiser to "Save the Bluffs"in Fair oaks , California.
The original sold quickly, and now there are prints available in all sizes. Speaking of sizes this was a special canvas size that had to be special ordered. It was a 12" x 48".
