New take on a portrait

Look familiar? I like her expression so much, I wanted to paint her again with a more contemporary feel. This is the technique I perfected when I was painting a lot of abstracts. I thought this would be a nice accompaniment to the classic grisaille portrait.

cigar box painting

This one is called"Juliet" The cigar box is a "Romeo & Juliet" cigar. I thought this would be right for Ashland. You know, the Shakespeare festival and all.

Becky (my dog)

Becky is a Healer / Border Collie mix. She is the best of the best! This is her "I want the ball" look.
The original was a 20" x 28" oil painting, and someone bought it from my representing gallery. I still can't figure why someone would want a painting of my dog? Anyway, prints are available and people have ordered them (maybe they are cattle dog lovers).

Half Dome

Half Dome in May, still quite a bit of snow. My daughter (then 12 years old) captured this photo that was so perfect to use as a painting reference. Her photos from that trip were better than most of mine. She has talent!
Giclee prints are available of this image.

Fair Oaks Bridge & Bluffs

This painting was painted for a fund raiser to "Save the Bluffs"in Fair oaks , California.
The original sold quickly, and now there are prints available in all sizes. Speaking of sizes this was a special canvas size that had to be special ordered. It was a 12" x 48".
